Rebeccamendations - Playtex HandSaver

I remember looking at the apartment we live in. I remember thinking it was a great location, and when we walked into the unit I remember thinking 'oh how cute! Look at all the space!' I remember glancing at the kitchen and moving on to the rooms that were down the hall. The fact that this apartment even had a hall made this place huge! Bathroom was small, but the bedrooms were a good size and over all I really like the lay out of this place. As I walked back pass the kitchen I went in and looked at it seeing nothing more than a standard old kitchen that was in desperate need of being updated. But for this price I figured it wasn't so bad, I was already sold on everything else. About a month after looking at the place we moved in and  settled in nicely.. . . . until I had to start washing dishes by hand three times a day as there is no dishwasher in this place - ugh.

My poor little hands were falling apart and drying away to nothing but raw bones. . . . Ok it wasn't that bad, but they were drying out and starting to crack and hurt. No fun. After a few months of torturing myself, I purchased a pair of hand gloves thanks to the recomendations of some friends.
They were really my hand savers!

You can pick them up anywhere but here they are on amazon.com

I love these gloves! They are ultra strong, and fit perfectly. The medium fits the best on me, I currently have the small size, and they are a bit too snug but work just fine. I look forward to the day when I'll be able to load a dishwasher and only have to wash a few things by hand, but while I'm washing everything by hand these days - babies included! - I'll hang on to the Handsaver. I will only ever wash dishes with these gloves from now on.

What about you - are you a bare hand or glove protected kind of washer?

  1. I have the luxury of a dishwasher and it will SO be worth the wait when you are in a place with one! I wear gloves for bathroom cleaning for obvious reasons. My least favorite chore but the gloves make it bearable. Not only do I like your review but I LOVE the catchy title "Rebeccamendations!" I see a blog series in the making!! :)

  2. Thanks Terri! I got the title name form a friend, I thought it was kind of funny too : ) I totally agree, I hate cleaning the bathroom as well, I'm lucky to have a hubby who does that, my chore is the dreaded dishes - yuck!
