There has been A LOT going on - and a post to come about it - So much that I've been a little over whelmed as to what to post about, knowing that a filter needs to be in place.
Not everything needs to be shared ; )
But in honer of it being friday -Friday Friend Day! I just made that up - and that I haven't posted in a while, I thought I should write something, anything really. .
I have come the reality that I do indeed have allergies. I've been in denial for the last 6yrs at least. I mean really, how does one know whether you have a cold or if it really is allergies that plague you? Maybe getting a 'cold' at the same time every year might be a good indicator.
I guess maybe if I went to get tested that would be a good way to know for sure, but why bother. . .
I'll just self medicate the symptoms and carry on. And when I talk to
others, or see their post about suffering w/ allergies and I start
feeling something coming on, I can just assume I have them too. . .
right?
I guess I'll have to start buying allergy meds - thats where I'm off to next, to look for some coupons.
Are you an allergy sufferer? What works for you, or what do you have to do to get by?
Rebecca -
I was diagnosed with allergies at age 10, and was prescribed liquid benedryl (now it's over the counter). I don't use benedryl now at all, b/c I prefer alavert (also otc), and the ones that melt in your mouth are handy. Allergies are not severe like when I was growing up and early adulthood, and I'm thankful. There's a wonderful huge book called Nutritional Healing; I highly recommend it as a resource, especially when there are little ones in the home. It's like an encyclopedia. I hope you find something for relief.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I did take some Alavert this am and its been working great. I'm thankful they are not severe either, but just annoying : )
