Its been a while sense I've gotten down on the floor, and burned out a few calories - but today I sucked it up, took a deep breath and hit the Pilates mat.
*Thanks to Netflix I can get an instructor telling me what to do, and in 30min I've done something that got my heat rate up!*
I love that feeling of doing something after I've done it. Its hard to get the motivation sometimes though, but once I'm feeling the pain and burn, I know I'm doing something good. My favorite work outs are - Pilates, and Kickboxing. I know, two drastically different types of work outs.
What I love about Pilates - the stretching, the core work out, and the results are apparent with in a week or so, if your consistent with it.
Why I love kick boxing? - the Amazing feeling you have after, even though your sweated more than you thought possible, and you may not be able to feel your legs after. There is a great studio in Astoria - you can find
their site here - that has great classes and good instructors. Also for the results that you gain from it as well.
So what about you? Are you a work out junkie, or consistent fitness lover, or do you avoid 'working out' at all cost? What are some of your favorites activities, and what keeps you motivated to get going when you'd rather just 'relax' on the couch? As always I'd love to hear!

Perfect timing! I just started back to working out a couple weeks ago slowly oh so slowly ;-) I'm doing a beachbody workout of 10 minute modules (same guy that does P90x, but less crazy). DH and I do it together and do 3 modules at a time. I sweat like crazy and am in awful pain but we have a goal to work towards (our trip to Vegas at the end of the summer) so that makes it fun. Good luck with your workouts!
ReplyDeleteOh Quiana! I'd love to get into that! I'm not sure I could do the P90X, but this sounds doable : ) Good for you, having goals is key I think in loosing weight, and Vegas is a great goal ; )
