One of my favorite apps is the bible, YouVersion. There are so many reasons to love it. A few are -

lots of translations
plenty of devotions to choose from
The one I'm reading right now is on parenting. The last few days have been on creating an environment that sets an example for our children. Showing them the things that really matter - relationships, values that the bible teaches, and Gods way of life vs the worlds way. Setting the example by our actions and what we hold important, not just with our words of what is important.
I want to teach our girls that things don't matter, people and relationships do. I've been off this past week, and defiantly not who I want my girls to look up to, or be like. Sometimes conviction is done in a loving way in that it turns our attention to the areas in our lives that need some addressing. It directs us to make changes and ask God for help in the areas that we can't change on our own.
I love how convicting - and loving - the Bible is, and I love YouVersion for making it available at my fingertips anytime. The devotionals are relatable and offer practical advice. What are some of your favorite devo's?
