This Little Light Of Mine

Psalms 18:28 NLT

You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. 

If you grew up in a christian home, or ever went to children's church as a child I'm sure there are a few staple songs that you were taught. I can still remember Mrs Gerry, my sunday school teacher, teaching me this one -

This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine, let it shine let it shine let it shine!

I love how this passage doesn't say IF you go through darkness, but says He lights up my darkness. Meaning that you are going to go through some - life can be dark. Sometimes its long periods of darkness, sometimes just a few hours, either way God will shed His Light in those areas - He will be your comfort in time of trouble. He cares for You. He wants to pour His Love, Peace, and LIGHT on you and your life. All you have to do is ask - be open to Him, and His ways.
