Sunday

It was a great, lazy, relaxing, rainy sunday. Not all did it rain, but we did get caught in a storm -  a down pour, and there was thunder and lightning! Abigail and I enjoyed the morning w/ Kaia, we went to the play ground, and eat some lunch, played w/ her toys. When it was time to leave for church - @ 5:15 - I was all nervous b/c it was suppose to be real nasty.

I've learned something about myself in these past 25+ years, I get very anxious when it comes to be out and about and being stuck, and the weather conditions. I'm also a nervous reck when it comes to the gas light going on in the car - but seeing as I hardly drive anymore that ones not as big of an issue as it use to be : ) I get all crazy about being stuck, and even more so now w/ Kaia, mind you I've always been like this, its not just b/c of her that this issue has surfaced!

So off to church we go, and the whole way there, I'm looking @ everyone getting on the train, and no one was wet, or was carrying wet umbrellas. I thought we were good! No getting stuck in the rain! It wasn't a matter of not being prepared, I had the umbrella, I had the rain cover for the stroller - we were set. It's just the inconvenience of being in the rain that makes me go crazy! Wouldn't you know though, as soon as we o through the exit, and about to walk up onto the street, this lady passes us soaking wet! Ahhhhh! We handled it well I think. We got up the courage - or @ least I did, Kaia loves the rain cover! - and we walked up the stairs, and on to church we went. Can you guess what happened as soon as we got there? It stopped. Thankfully it was a nice walk home, and considering we got on the slowest E train I've ever been on, it was a good thing we didn't have to walk in the rain then.

Today, scattered showers in the afternoon. So we're going on as soon as Kaia wakes up from her nap, and will enjoy the dry weather while we have it. 1st stop, Ground Zero, and then we'll 'take the A train up town' to central park and see Columbus circle - I think it'll be a good afternoon. Then it'll be time to pack and get ready for our big, LONG day tomorrow - I can hardly wait . . .
