This weekend was great having Rachel here - I think I do more and more every time people come to visit than I do any other time! We headed to the Natural History museum on Saturday, what a huge place! Mark came w/ us, and we both were amazed @ how much is really in that place. Kaia did so well, she ended up falling asleep when we were almost done, but she missed my favorite part - The Ocean. It was a great area, I'm amazed @ how real they can make the animals look. Rachel and I had a great time together. She loves seeing Kaia and Mark, and its always fun for me to relax w/ an old friend. Its a comforting thing to have people in my life that know me, and who I know. No matter how long it goes b/w visits, or talking, we still know each other. I love my friendship/sisterhood w/ her, and I know how often that comes along. I'm blessed to have her in my life, and Kaias too.
I'm doing a beth moore study w/ a girls/woman's group from church. I finally got the book and today started it. How challenging! I knew it was going to be, but I always forget how deep she gets. I'm also reading - for a moms group I'm in as well! - an Ed Young book on parenting, only in the first chapter, and I'm already learning things that I can change and do differently as a mom. I'm looking forward to reading this one, both of these really, and putting into practice what I learn. I want to really learn, change and more in a different direction is needed w/ these studies, thats the whole point of a Growth group, right? To grow in your walk, life and any other area that God might point out to you. . . I'm going to make it like that. Especially over the next few weeks for lent and the lack of FB to distract me, nows the perfect time to set into practice what I learn! Who knows, this might be the start of a new way of life for me, I might really change over this year, that was a goal of mine : )
