As our adjustment w/ putting both girls in one room wasn't enough to take on, I starting realizing that miss Olivia wasn't sleeping as well as she should, or can. When a few nights of getting up and going to her more than twice was becoming too common, I knew something had to give!
Last night we set out on -
Operation Get Olivia To Sleep More.
It worked Okay. Still have a few things to adjust to, like hoping and praying Kaia doesn't wake up every time we let Olivia cry, or that Olivia realizes we're not coming in there and to go back to sleep.
Oh the monsters we create - all self inflicted wounds I know. If I had done this before we moved them in together it wouldn't be an issue. But I didn't, and here we are handling this hurdle in the race we call
Parenthood.
So here we are - sleep training @ 11mo - and wondering why in the world I didn't take care of this sooner. Kaia at this age was almost sleeping through the night - I think, she was at least sleeping better than Olivia is now - and I thought the second one would be easier than the first. Different yes, but I'm not sure I can say easier. We'll get it - Olivia will get it - but till then seems like Kaia is learning to be a solid sleeper! Thats a plus : )
