My husband is a reader - I mean avid reader, like he read 50 books last year! I'm not that good, but I'm starting to get a hang for this thing called reading, and even enjoy it.
I thought I'd mention the few book I did read this past year, I have highlighted a few of them as I've finished here before, but just in case you missed those, here's my reading list from 2011 -
Thiker Than Blood
Girls In Trucks
Voice In The Wind
Echo In The Darkness
As Sure As The Dawn
Redeeming Love
I want to get to some more Francine Rivers books, and I'd really like to read Gabrielle Zevin's other books. I have a dear friend who has her first book Queen of Kentucky releasing the first of January, and I will of course be picking that one up!
There are a few I'm reading right now - trying to finish Sun Stand Still, by Steven Furtick, and I just picked up Freakonomics, by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner which my husband has talked so much about that I have to read it for myself.
I heard on NPR, on On Point - you can find the whole show here, and a full list of the top books for 2011 - what sounded like a good read, Rules Of Civility by Amor Towles that I'd like to get my hands on as well.
What about you? What were some of your favorite reads of this year? What were some that you didn't get to but would like to read? I'd love to hear, and maybe even put on my list as well. .
