Its that time again! Leadingandlovingit's virtual conference #JustOneConf! I gained so much from it last year, I couldn't wait for it again this year!
Being in a new stage of life - again - and getting adjusted to my role - again - as not a 'new' mother to two, but a mother of two fast growing girls, I was happy to take a few minuets out of my day and sit in on some great wisdom from Kay Warren, Jenni Catron, Michelle Meeks, Jesica Cornelius , and Heather Palacio.
Big highlights for me from these ladies -
How am I leading - our girls/ family/ others - by the actions of my life? Because lets face it, its by our our life that we lead, weather we like it or not - ugh.
What encouraging words do I have to say, and whats keeping me from saying them?
Jenni Catron made a great point - I thought it was just me that did this, or felt this way! - we can let business get in the way of speaking a kind/encouraging word.
We can let our envy of others get in the way - my BIG problem.
Am I really being myself? When I try to be someone else, try and do something that God didn't call me to do, I'll fail every time.
Listening to the right voices in ministry - those that will strengthen and build me up. Who do you have speaking life and encouragement into you? We all need those kind of people in our corner, and in our lives!
And lastly Heather spoke on the bleeding women and the courage and Faith she had to seek out Jesus, touch his heme and bow at His feet after she was 'found out'. Having the kind of faith that when all else is gone, or being taken away from us, that we still are holding on strong to our belief in Him. I want that kind of faith!
My little take away - being others focused and allowing what we learn to be part of our lives when it comes to being intentional and mindful of our actions. I bet it could really change my life!
