Sisters Visit

I love having family visit. Living away from my side of the family allows me to really enjoy and value the time I do get with them when they have the chance to come up.
Last weekend my youngest sister was up for a few days and it was fabulous! Not only because there wasn't snow on the ground - good for me bad for her, she likes that crap - but because we had such a wonderful time together.

I talked her out of going to Toronto for the day and instead we went to Niagara on the Lake. Very cute little historic town on Lake Ontario. On the day we went it was so clear I could see Toronto from across the lake! Toronto is a clean, nice big city. But not much fun in January, I promised her next time she comes - in the summer - we'd make a trip.

We had a nice time catching up, and just encouraging each other. I'm so proud of her, and all her accomplishments - shes one of my hero's for a few reasons.  I love her attitude and lack of toleration for nonsense. Shes a straight forward girl, but does it with grace and poise. She is respectful and loving, caring and helpful, honest and straight to the point. I couldn't ask for more in a sister.

What do you do when friends or family come in from out of town - where do you take them? What are some qualities you love about your siblings/parent/spouse? I'd love to hear.
