Traveling Light

We started a new message series last week - you can read here the first post where I talked about it - and this past week my hubby, Mark, taught on the Burden of Worry.
What a great topic most of us have dealt with or are dealing with.
Worry of the future.
Worry of family.
Worry of life.
Worry of others.
There are many things that cause us to worry and keep us worrying. The lord gave us plenty of tools to over come this nasty burden.

'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by Prayer and Petition, with Thanksgiving, Present your request to God.' Philippians 4:6

'Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.' Matthew 6:34

I could go on and on with verses of how the Lord showed us worrying accomplishes nothing. Jesuse talked about it, David talked about it, Moses dealt with his share of worry and uncertainty, and many other great leader in the Bible. There is hope that we can overcome, and lay down this burden!

Today - how are you dealing with the worries of your everyday life. Or the worries of life in general, or the rough time your going through right now? Are you taking your burdens to Christ and giving them to Him or are you trying to carry them all by yourself?

*Disclaimer - I'm reading this back to myself just as I'm writing it for those who are reading. I'm not great in this area, I'm a big worrier, I can always work on this Worry thing : )

As always I'd love to hear your thoughts!
