Hope Through the Rough Times

"For the Lord will remove His hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the Lord Himself, the King of Isreal, will live among you! At last your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster!"
Zephaniah 3:15 NLT

This verse was from a parenting devotional that I'm doing. This day was talking about the certainty of our Hope that we have - as Christians - in Christ. A hope that we can share with our little ones in hard times. Hope and encouragement from times past when He was faithful to us, times that He came through for us.

"As your kids experience disappointments - poor report cards, lost games, romantic break-ups, fights with friends - pass along this message of hope. Our faith is revealed in the way we respond to every day events"

As parents I believe we have the greatest influence on our children. How we choose to use that influence is up to us, our beliefs and convictions. Personally I want to reflect Christ to them as best as I can. I want to pour into them assurance that Gods love is Unending, that He cares about us and the things that we are going through. I want to instill in them values and standards that are pleasing to God.

This verse encourages me that the hard times we go through can be used on the other side to show His faithfulness. My Hope is in Him through the hard times. I can look back and remember the times He brought me through and be encouraged that He will do the same thing again through the next challenge I go through!
