The mornings are a time for me to post, relax, have my coffee, think about things, read, and clean up around here - Whatever may need to be done, I try my best to take advantage of Kaia's morning nap. So instead of doing the dishes in the sink right now, or straightening up the apartment, I'm posting! You can tell where my priorities are : )
Kaia and I have a great week planed! We have a lunch date today w/ some friends, and Saturday one of my sisters is coming to town! Very exciting! This will be the first person from my family that has come to visit sense we moved here! I can't wait to see her, and show her around! Too bad she can't see - or maybe, good thing she can't see! (Yes my sister is legally blind) I feel like there's so much to do too! We leave for vacation next week - and this will be the first time, as a family, we are going away. And the first BIG road trip w/ Kaia. I hope I can get it all done and organized in time to leave. Its a little more challenging now b/c she eats food, but it has to be smashed up, and shes eating 3 meal a day! Shes getting SO big! What happened?! I will be spending a lot of time in prayer for this trip - shes not a big fan of the car the begin w/!
Yesterday was a busy day for all of us! We had our monthly services here in Queens - which I think went real well - and then Kaia and I went to the village service last night. I'm so glad I did. The message was about relationships. You know how it is to hear something you know already?
That was last night for me! I know I can always do better in/@ my relationships - no matter what kind!I don't communicate well, I get upset and hurt easily, I have a lot I could work on in this area of my life.
Last night was mainly about marriage/dating relationships, but really the points could be applied to any kind of relationship. One of the points was about choosing to do/say the 'kind thing'. This, for me, is a hard one. I am so quick to decide that I'm going to be in a bad mood, or be mad about something, or just choose the negative way than the positive. Its hard to choose the right/kind thing @ times! It's so much easier to just stay mad, or get up-set about something, but it's not worth your time - not for me anyway!
I was talking to a girl friend the other day and she was telling me the same thing! Humm. . . God, are you trying to show me something? See, I told you this is an area that I need to work on!
Really though, choosing to be kind, choosing to love, choosing to make the best of what might not be what you though it is/was is hard to do! But - it's what we as christians are called to, and it can make a world of difference in your life! Give it a try - I bet you'll see a change you like in your life, and in the way others treat you.
(This message won't be up on the web site till next week - but its totally worth checking out!)
This is all I have for now - I have all these great ideas for post through out the day, and then I sit down and - nothing! Maybe I should start taking advantage of all the BB has to offer other than just the email and FB apps - hehehe Hope you have a wonderful day! I plan on having one
