We are back in Queens! Back to our own beds, and home, and things - We had such a great time visiting w/ family, friends, and most importantly being @ the beach! Here are a few pics of our trip, and happenings. My family threw a little birthday party for Kaia, and there was ice cream cake, and balloons!
This was when we were leaving Manhattan, just starting out 6hr+ drive to Richmond Va. I thought for sure we were in for a long trip. I'm happy to say she did great!

After getting use to the dry sand, we tired out the wet sand. Kaia didn't like that as much. However the longer we were sitting in the wet sad, she grew to love it. With a few handfuls into the mouth, and 2 sand fiddlers later she was loving it! We even took a few dips in the water! Its a shame we don't live closer, she really grew into being a beach girl!

Tired baby, every time we went to the beach, she fell a sleep some how. Grandma did a great job @ doing that - thank you mom! And you know it was a rough job for her to hold her through her whole nap ; ) but she did what she had to!
I can't believe that she'll be 1yr old next week! I feel like we just came down to NYC to interview, and check out the church here! Its gone so fast, even on our trip back from NC, I was noticing how much older shes looking. Like a little girl, not a baby - I'm enjoying all the changes that are going on - I had to lower the crib mattress to the lowest level this morning! She started to crawl while we were gone, she wont go far, but she knows how to do it! And shes pulling up to her knees, and shes eating almost everything. She played so well w/ little Angelina, but she plays well w/ others anyway. Our trip home was uneventful - and so was the ride down. Thankfully!
I had a great time seeing old friends - and like I posted a few days ago I wish I had been able to spend more time w/ them. Kate - you did a great job organizing everything, and planing all the events. I think you should really looking into event planing. Thank you for getting us all together, and allowing us to remember how much fun we all use to have. I miss you girls! I just up loaded my pics and looking @ how we are all 'grown up' and playing house for real now . . . most of us are married and/or have kids, have careers, and successful lives. I hate that we all live apart now. But I know that all of you had a part in shaping my life into what it is today.
And speaking of what I am today - a mom - I wanted to share what I love the most right now, that moment during the day, or @ night, when I'm putting Kaia down to sleep, and shes got her little head on my shoulder, and one arm over my shoulder, and one across my chest, and her little body is in my arms - its perfect! I want to always remember that moment, that time, when it feels like everything is still. Its perfection, here on earth.
