Yesterday our friends had their 1st baby boy! What a blessing these kids are! hehe - Its a very exciting time, and I'm SO happy for them. There's something about experiencing this for the first time - and I'm sure it's just as exciting w/ your 2nd or 3rd, but this is their first! They have been awaiting this little boy for a while - about a week - and he decided to come yesterday.
I'm going to sound like a typical parent - but it feels like we were just @ the hospital having little girl. What a rush that day was, it seemed like it was going so fast and then before I knew it there she was; all wrapped up and in my arms, and the large bump that I'd been able to rest my arms on was now IN my arms! As sad as I was to not have my arm rest, I was so excited to be meeting my new little one, and getting to know her - Just like I'm sure my friend feels!
After all the work, and pain, and struggle is over, and you are looking @ this little life that you've been growing inside of you for the past 9+ mo all kinds of things rush into your already swirling mind. You think you've conquered the whole roller coaster of how you're feeling, and then you're looking @ a precious, perfect little life! And all of a sudden it hits you - their here now! And you can't protect them from this big world around them - but in the same thought, you're so excited to share w/ them this big world, and show them all the great and wonderful things it have to offer!
*sigh*
So here's to A & M, and their new little boy - Congratulations on your new family! Many blessings, and to sharing the joys of your life w/ him!
