Yes ladies and gentleman thats right, its been a world wind of events the last couple of days. To make a long story short, I'll do my best to give only the main details.
Thursday afternoon I had mad a Dr apt to get some new birth control. While @ the office, my Dr notice something a little odd. She did an ultrasound in her office, and still didn't like what she saw. So off to another place to have more done I go. It was a miserable day, cold, wet, raining, ugh. At the ultrasound place, they did a few more test and agreed w/ my Dr that something was indeed abnormal. My Dr then told me to go to the ER to have some blood work done. She also mentioned something about surgery being a possibility, but in the wake of everything that had just happened over the past few hours I though for sure she was just giving me the worse case.
I did come home, to put Kaia to bed, and snuggle up w/ her and wait for Mark to get back before I went. I didn't want to go by myself if it was going to turn into a major thing. Mark and I got to the hospital ER at about 7:30, 8 checked and didn't wait too long to be seen. Sure enough, I was in the OR @ 11pm.
What they had found earlier that day was a growth of some kind on my ovary/fallopian tube. The worry was they were not sure what it was, and b/c it caused some discomfort they were worried that it might grow and possible rupture. Not a good thing to happen. So the plan was to go in w/ a camera - through my bellybutton! - see what it was, and take it out. Which they did, along w/ about 20% of my ovary/tube on the left side. The part they did take was sent off for a biopsy and will be back next wednesday w/ results as to what it is/was.
I am back @ home, resting, trying to recuperate and process what I've been through the past few days. But I wanted to fill you in. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all our friends who have helped up w/ kaia, brought food, checked in and for all the prayers and support from everyone! I'm trying not to think about the results on wednesday, I'm leaving it up to the Lord - there's nothing I can do about it now anyway. I'm well, and besides a very sore and stiff body I think I'm doing pretty good. Thank you for all the well wishes and everything you all have done for us!
xoxo
