Halloween

First off, let me just say that there will be no pictures of a cute little girl dressed up as as something adorable - no, mom dropped the ball big time on this one, yet again this year! Agh - I had the best intentions, and they fell apart. Kaia was going to be a cute little lamb - I got cheep and decided to make her costume instead of just buying one, and she looked more like a giant cloud, or oversized marshmallow than she resembled a lamb! So out w/ the costume and on w/ the little lamb coat she has - w/ the lamb face and little ears on the hood - instead. Oh well - I gave it a shot and next year for sure she will be in something cute and out trick or treating w/ the rest of them! 

We headed up to the upper west this afternoon for the fall festival that was going on @ the Journey location up there. I remember why I never go up there on the weekends. Its impossible to get there. You would think that the greatest city in the world, w/ the biggest subway system in the US, would make getting places a little easier. No. Not on the weekend, and not on the weekend when the Marathon is going on, on the same night the Yankees will be playing. It just takes a long time to get there, and what seems like even longer to get home. We did get there - and hr after it started - and it was nice to see some people I haven't seen, or spoken w/ in a while. Kaia seemed to have a good time too. 

Over all its was a good weekend - we had a great day yesterday as a family, enjoying each other the whole day! We had some friends over for dinner on friday to start the weekend off which was really nice. So, all in all it wasn't a bad weekend in the least  : )
