Happy Easter first of all! B/c of His resurrection and loving us as much as He does we can live forever w/ Him too! What a great day this is for my faith and in the lives of so many other christians! I know w/o Christmas there wouldn't be an Easter - I do like celebrating Easter more - but I'm so glad that we, Mark and I, have faiths that are ALIVE and LIVING to show to Kaia and miss Olivia. I have no question, or doubt, in that what we are teaching and living out for our girls is the right thing. I hope that as they grow up, I'll continue to grow in my faith as well. . . . . Its a living faith, I have to keep growing in it!
So, Happy Easter! Praise to our Lord who loves us so much and by whom we can live and be loved by b/c of this great day in our faiths history!
As you noticed though, the title of this post is 'breaking the fast' and before I did, I just wanted to reflect a little on myself and maybe even on some things that I learned in these past weeks.
I gave up the wonderful world of facbook, and for the last few weeks I've felt kind of out of the loop in that world. I have several friends that I only talk to through FB, and that I'm only friends w/ - that Mark isn't - so I've felt really disconnected from them . . . . That was kind of hard.
But all the time that I use to be on FB - and do absolutely nothing! - I was able to really get into some books that I had wanted to read and even keep up w/ the readings from my gg's. I was able to focus more in other areas of my life. I hope I can keep doing the same things that I was w/o FB - like keeping up w/ real life things - ie my family, reading ect . . . I'm glad that I did it, I'm glad that I gave up something SO big for me - and it was, maybe a little too big of a thing in my life! - I feel like it really stretched me and put some things in focus in my life. Now to keep those things in focus : )
I hope that this Easter Sunday, whatever you're doing, whatever faith/religion you are, that you have a blessed and enjoyable day. Its foggy here in NYC - maybe its sunny where you are, enjoy the weather and celebrating this wonderful day!!
