Happenings of the week

Theres not too much to talk about this week - maybe there was/is, but I've forgotten! I wanted to post a quick something though, b/c it has been a little bit.

In big news, there was a HUGE storm that blew through here on Thursday night - two days ago! - and yes there were tornadoes that came through, and rain and dark Sky's and of course lots of wind. There are many trees that are down and lots of damage to cars, and homes in the area. Many people lost power - we were not some of those thankfully! - and they are still w/o it. Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens were the only boroughs effected by this huge storm. So many old trees were uprooted and so many that look like tooth picks. Its kind of sad to see. Only 1 person died from the storm, and the poor lady was driving and had pulled off the road to wait out the storm and a tree fell on her car crushing her. I was very relived that we sold our car and didn't have to worry about that.

The new big red bus - our double strollers name - has been great. The only problem that we're still working on is Olivia hats the car seat. It w/ a car seat adapter so I can use the car seat which is great b/c shes still kind of small for the stroller seat itself. But Olivia is a city girl, and doesn't really care to be in the car seat. I know, most babies love the car seat and fall right asleep as soon as they are placed in them. Not my babies. Kaia hated it and Olivia feels the same. Shes getting better, and I'm sure I'll be able to put her in the regular seat before too long, I hope so. Kaia loves it and so do I, its not as heavy as I thought it would be too, and thats a plus! I'll get a picture up soon of what it looks like.

The women's conference that I posted about last time has been in my thoughts all week. And I even logged on and caught it again the next day. For those of you who are interested in checking it out - its a women's conference online, free and you can catch it 4 different times. Go to 'leading and loving it and you can get all the details.

To end this, heres a little picture of my littlest one : ) Have a great weekend!
