I think I mentioned here before how I have had a disliked for this holiday of our Christ's birth.
This years holiday season started off similarly for me with some things going on in my family whom I live away from. I was desperate to cling to something positive, and uplifting. For the real reason for this wonderful day of gifts, and family and good food.
I think I found it.
I think this was my Christmas to really see, enjoy, and be thankful for the birth of Christ.
Thankful in a way I've never been before.
Mindful of what really happened, of the aweness of that day so long ago.
This year we enjoy our family together, and the surprise in the eyes of our girls opening their gifts.
We enjoyed fabulous food - again many thanks to my husbands aunt and uncle, Rick and Ruth, for opening their home and serving an amazing meal!
We enjoyed mild temperatures, and no snow - there will be plenty of that to come now till April.
We enjoyed celebrating what God has done in our lives this past year, and what Hes showing us for this next year to come.
I might have found a new thrill, and enjoyment to this holiday season. My hope for my girls is to have a peaceful and merry Christmas every year.
To have a love for this time of year.
That they look forward to being with their family, and the joy and celebration that comes with Christmas. . .
For now, I know they have, here are a few pictures to prove it!
I hope you had a wonderful, restful and peaceful Christmas as well!
