I know that kids grow. I know that they grow fast, and in the blink of an eye they are grown - but watching it happen to you're own children, and right before you're own eyes is kind of amazing.
This picture was taken when Olivia was only a few weeks old, and every time I walk by it I shake my head because in my mind I still think of them at that age. They are permanent infants in my mind.
With this false image I choose to keep in my mind, I am surprised when I realize how big and 'grown up' they are when I watch them do something, or say something.
Olivia is two and a half and in the last few weeks her vocabulary has exploded! The things she says - and the way that she talks is so grown up. A few people have pointed it out to me saying
'She is speaking so well'
As a mother its my job as translate anything and everything our girls have said or wanted from day one. Up till now with Olivia I just say back to her what I think she's trying to say till she says
'Yeah!'
This has been working just fine, but now anyone can hear and understand what she is saying or knows what she wants. These little girls have grown up, and Olivia no longer needs a translator - well, not most of the time.
She has much to say and much to tell you about. And her sister normally knows what she wants in the case that you or I can't understand. They grow everyday, and we talk about when they grow up, or when they are older, and then when they do we wonder where the time went. Its a natural process, I'm thankful for cameras and being able to capture these times - they really do go by so fast.

I'm pretty sure I will always think of your girls as little girls. So glad I get to see them grow up on here and on Facebook.
