Just a Few Words

The last few days I've been thinking about how great it is to chat with a friend, and share something - hopefully - encouraging. I'm sure you have a few people in mind who are that for you. That when you think of them, and the time you get to spend with them it is refreshing, uplifting and positive. Maybe they lovingly challenge you in an area, maybe they just said the right little thing to brighten up your day. Whatever it is, it's nice to have someone who's there to help along the way.

When I think of these people in my life I always leave my time with them, feeling full, refreshed and looking for a way to bless, encourage, support, and uplift someone else. Almost immediately though, something happens, someone pulls out right in front of me, my girls are arguing about something; things suddenly go crazy. Why is that?! My challenge to myself today - and you too! - is to be mindful of your surroundings, those you will come in contact with today, and tomorrow.

I love this verse from Proverbs - a book full of great wisdom, no matter what your religious thoughts or background. In chapter 3 verse 1, and 3
'My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your Heart. . . Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder.'

I'm going to consciously look for ways that I can encourage others. Would you join me as well? I'd love to hear about what you find from this - you can share your comments bellow of your experience.
