Adventures

Last night, I went to visit a friend who's in the hospital - please be praying for her - and had to venture, thank goodness not on my own! Another friend and I headed out to the upper east side - a place I've only heard about! It never ceases to amaze me @ how each section of the city is different. For example: Midtown is nothing like the upper west, nor is wall street anything like the village. And likewise queens is nothing like brooklyn! In such a big city - as ours is - there's so many different types of people, cultures and areas that wonderful NYC has in store for the offering. As we emerged from the subway to the world above, I immediately notice that this area was very quiet. This place they call the 'upper east', is like none other I've been to thus far. Its still very much the city, but it is it's own area. A few short blocks to the west and we run into central park. Side note - I've been to CP several times, its The Park when referenced, and yet this park we were walking by wasn't what I've seen, or even been to! Same park, different area. I love this great city! I love all the new things that I continue to discover, and come accorss! All the nooks and cranies that I am uncovering and checking out.

Back to my original story of visiting a dear friend in the hospital, it was so nice to see her, and hopefully have lifted her spirits for a bit. She's going through a bit of a rough time, and I hope we were able to bring a little bit of encouragement, and light heartedness to her. Besides, what else are friend for if you can't be there for one that's in need?

On to this morning - Little girl seems to think that eating should be an all day affair. But when her idea of 'eating' is dropping her rice on the floor, lunch time comes to an ever so sad end. Yes, she was picking up handfuls of rice, and moving her hand to the side of the tray and opening to release the white fluffiness to the floor. No! We will NOT start this kind of behavior in my house! Not until she can clean up her own mess : ) Shes getting so big, each day is something new, and something wonderful to watch and enjoy. I hope I never forget these times. . . .
