This is a special post - I'm celebrating the 4th blog style with a blog party! Over at Baxtron {Life} she along with a few other bloggers are hosting a blog party - check out this link and read on! Thanks to Courtney and the others for doing this : )
As we are trying to get settled into this new house of ours - finding a place for everything, giving a home to all our things - there have been a few changes with out sleeping situations. For one, we were unable to get our box springs upstairs with out first cutting it in half, folding it in half, and carrying it upstairs to put back together. Its working just find I should mention.
Then our daughter Kaia was in need of a bed. I wanted to get a set of bunk beds/twin beds for the girls to use when they get older - our other daughter Olivia is still in her crib. I was stuck on what to do, not wanting to spend a lot on a set, but still wanting a good set, something sturdy and that was going to last. There is no one like your mother. I talk to mine, and she reminds me that my parents still had the bunk beds me and my sister and other siblings used! Wonderful, only problem, we live in NY and she lives in NC. Being the great mother that she is, she packed them up, FedExd them and I received them yesterday! I was so excited to get them, I put the one together first thing this morning! More pictures to come as I get it all set up.
I'm so glad we were able to get some that are durable and also have a little piece of my childhood to pass along to our girls. I can remember the forts my sister and i would make and the trouble I would make for her, or she for me. Good memories, I hope our girls will create many of their own!
What about you, do you have things now that you grew up with, or if you have children that you've passed along to them? What make them so special to you? I'd love to hear!
