Creating family traditions is something that takes time. I've had a hard time implement and creating traditions. I know they aren't things that happens over night, and really they should probably have some kind of thought that goes into them. Decorating isn't something I go all out with either, but maybe thats because it takes a little time to acquire the look you want, whatever the season, I'm still trying to find my decorating style which is carrying over to holiday decor - a look of I'm-not-real-sure-what-I-want-to-look-like kind of look.
Getting the Christmas tree and decorating it together as a family has been our tradition so far, and I look forward to keeping this tradition as the years come. Also, fun PJ's for the girls, and looking at christmas lights, sharing the Christmas story, and doing some kind of advent calendar - the girls have loved that!
I'd love to hear some of the fun traditions that you do with your family, or maybe some of the fun childhood traditions you grew up with. I always enjoyed opening 1 gift on Christmas Eve.
